This page, a newsletter, is really just being created. Focal points are intended to involve financial markets. However, other subjects such as non-partisan treatment of politics or current events, and philosophical perspectives, could be relevant.
The news industry is struggling. Persons no longer subscribe to have a paper delivered, and those same companies that lose customers can only fetch lower prices for online ads. In the past, there were sections for employment listings, however that is now found separately on the internet. Figuratively, we do not intend to produce a next-generation Polaroid camera by publishing.
There are still important things that journalism can accomplish, so the background situation might just be one of changing media. Consider the hypothetical instance of a corrupt judge. If no one knows of the matter, it is probably going to continue. However, if it gains public attention, there is a better chance of a positive outcome.
So, though it might be nice to create a new type of newspaper, a different objective probably should be more productive. We are not necessarily seeking to tactfully quote experts, be a “Fly on the wall,” or a “Fly in the ointment.” Thus attention toward what investors or speculators may deem worthwhile, or wasteful, can be topical. Unless there is misunderstanding, people generally put money behind enterprises that they believe will be important in the future.
However, it is fairly easy to blog about stocks. There are viable businesses that do exactly that already, and it can be unfortunate. From among them, there is a modicum that actually helps fiscally. Further, some of the most liked tend not to because the necessary work, or homework, is rarely described as popular.
We aim to emphasize research, for lack of a different term, that allows us to predict the future change of a security with accuracy. Yes, you can also guess and be right. Yes, you can make an educated guess and be right.
We intend to have high confidence as to why prospects can be described in writing.
